April Photo Contest and Challenge: Metamorphosis

This month, the contest theme is Metamorphosis.  Whether you live in the Northern or Southern hemisphere, this month is one of change.  For many of us, April is synonymous with spring, a time of warmer weather, rejuvenation, and growth.  For others, it's autumn, a time of cooler temperatures, the beginnings of nature's hibernation, and preparation for the winter ahead.  Wherever you are in the world, take this chance to investigate what change means to you.  Get inspired by transitions in focus, color, perspective, or the world around you.  The world is ever-changing; capture the liminal stages between light and dark, young and old, before and after.

General Information:

- The contest will run from Monday, April 15th through Saturday the 20th.  Winners and honorable mentions will be announced here, on this blog, on the 22nd.

- Contest entries must be added to a 3rd part tab application not associated with Facebook.  You will find the app on the JD Textures page starting the 15th under the tab entitled "Photo Contest".

- Don't feel like competing, but still want to share your work?  No problem.  Just post your image to the JD Textures Facebook Page and mention that it's for the contest.  You won't be applicable for any prizes, but you could be one of our 10 honorable mentions!

- To be eligible to win, you must use one of my textures and mention it in your posting.  REMEMBER THIS STEP (some of you have been forgetting . . . Don't make me call the Texture Police on you ;).

- TWO WINNERS will be chosen, one by popular vote and the other by a judge's selection; winners will receive identical prize packages.  Additionally, I will choose 10 of my favorite images posted to my Facebook Textures Page to feature on this blog as a "thank you" to my participants.

Prizes

Each winner will receive one $300 gift certificate to Bad Sass and a $100 gift certificate to the JD Textures store for a grand total of a $400 prize!
